Minister not confident
PA Timaru The Minister of Lands. Mr Elworthy, is not confident •he Government would win a snap election in the present political climate. He predicts that Labour will win in Australia next month. The difficulty facing the Fraser Government was the same that would face the National Government if
there were an election in New Zealand now. Mr Elworthy told a National Party women's meeting in Timaru yesterday. “The voters are seeking new answers to the old problems. I would not like to go ' to the country now." he said. "By November. 1984. the outlook should be better and we can go to the polls then,” Mr Elworthy said.
