Human bones found in mud
PA Auckland Human bones were removed from mud at Putiki Bay, Waiheke Island, on WednesD- day morning after being examined by the police and a local doctor. The doctor was unable to establish the age or sex of the decomposing bones, which will be taken to the Auckland mortuary for expert examination. The police found a skull, a jawbone, and several other bones at low tide after a Waiheke resident reported seeing a skeleton near a local tip on Tuesday. The bones are thought to have been in the mud for some time.
