PA New Plymouth A search for two men missing off the Taranaki coast since February 6 has been intensified after the discovery of a second body from the 5.5 m boat Wakatere. The body was that of Keith Furmage, aged 28, married, of Henwood Road, Bell Block. It was found by two fishermen about 3km off the coast near Okato at 3.15 p.m. on Tuesday, and more than 30km from where the body of Lawrence Dodd was found on a beach near New Plymouth Airport at Bell Block on February 8. Still missing from the cabin cruiser are John Adamson, aged 33. and Brian Widt, aged 25, both of Bell Block.
Police searchers and the families and friends of the missing men made the best of fine, calm weather yesterday to search by foot, air, sea, horseback, and motorcycle.
