Hard line on drunks
PA Auckland Drunkenness or misbehaviour will not be tolerated at tomorrow's one-day cricket international between New Zealand and England, the head of the police team for the match, Inspector Phil Keber, warned yesterday. The number of police on duty at Eden Park will be increased by 20 on the 70 stationed around the ground
during last year's one-day game against Australia. He warned yesterday that a repeat performance of last year’s unruliness below No. 6 stand would be met with prompt action. "Any person intoxicated or misbehaving — spoiling the enjoyment of the other spectators — will at the very best be ejected from the ground." said Mr Keber.
