Channels ‘too narrow’
“The seepage pipes at Lake Forsyth are getting blocked because the channels are too narrow and the shingle falls off the steep sides,” said Cr T. D. Barwick at the monthly meeting of the Wairewa County Council.
Cr Barwick was incorrectly quoted in “The Press” as saying that the pipes were becoming blocked because the channels were too wide.
