Ebos agency announced
Ebos Dental and Surgical Supplies, Ltd, of Christchurch. has secured the New Zealand distribution rights for products from Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, of Australia, said Ebos’s managing director, Mr W. W. Redmavne, yesterday.
Commonwealth Serum Laboratories was a govern-ment-owned organisation that made vaccines, antibiotics. and medicines in a lot of other areas. It was initially established to reduce Australia's dependence on overseas supplies. Although the organisation established under a charter, it was required to make a profit and pay taxes just like an ordinary’ company, he said.
Although Ebos had only been distributing the Australian organisation’s products in New Zealand since the beginning of January, the agency was already doing well, and was expected to make a good contribution to profits. .
