Brainy elite to meet
Hundreds of the world’s most intelligent people will gather in Auckland next week for five days of “highpowered brainwork." The international conference is for members of Mensa, an international or-
ganisation for people whose I.Q. puts them in the top 2 per cent of the population. Founded in Britain in 1966, the organisation now has more than 6000 members in 80 countries. The Auckland conference is the first to be held in the Southern Hemisphere. Among the speakers are an Auckland journalist, Mr Pat Booth, and the chief superintendent of the Auckland police, Mr Graham Perry.
