Car-parks ranked for appearance
Car-parks run by councils and businesses in Christchurch are being ranked by the Civic Trust for their appearance and accessibility. The trust is preparing a booklet which will offer advice to owners on how to improve their car-parks. Tree and shrub plantings would be among the suggestions, said the trust’s chairman, Mr Graeme Robertson.
The booklet is being funded by a $lOOO grant from the Environmental Council. It will be available in several months to advise local authorities and private concerns which run public carparks.
