Australia’s bonus offer
NZPA Melbourne A leading Australian weekly newspaper, the "Melbourne Truth," has offered the Australian cricket team a bonus of $25,000 if it wraps up the World Series Cup at the M.C.G. on Sunday.
In a largely promotional stunt the newspaper hopes will act as an added incentive to the Australians. "Truth" has offered to bolster the $32,000 the team will take in prize-money if it completes a 2-0 victory in the best of three series.
