Beautrix in good gallop
Special correspondent Woodville Beautrix looked ready for a good effort in the Collegiate . Handicap at -Wanganui when he galloped at Woodville yesterday morning. Fast work took place on the outside of the course proper, which was firm. Beautrix had a solid weight when he ran 600 m in 37.25. He needs only to run up to his best to be hard to beat. Noel Harris rides him. Payee went 1200 m in Imin 21.4 s the final 600 m in 39.55. He is making good progress. Belmore was let off with an easy 600 m in 435. High Idea ran 1200 m in Imin 18s, the last 600 m in 40.45. She was a solid fourth on the first day at Wanganui on Saturday. Kiwi Pride took 43.7 s for 600 m. Tai Moon sped over the same distance in 375.
