Emco spreads interest

PA Wellington Emco Group. Ltd. the former New Zealand Motor Corporation, now has more than 50 per cent of its assets in non-motor activities. Mr Roy Mason, managing director of Emco. announcing the group’s offer for Healing Industries unconditional. said the achievement of this figure has been a management objective for some time. “Where as the motor business remains important, through the acquisition of Group Rentals and the completion of the Healing purchase we have a group which has a better and more balanced earnings potential than one which was dependent on an industry subject to cyclical forces.
