Baby dies

NZPA Southampton Michael Hickmott. who was born two days after his mother was pronounced clinically dead, died in hospital at Southampton yesterday. He had died of cardiorespiratory failure associated with brain damage after a 22-day struggle for life, said a hospital administrator. Michael was bom 13 weeks premature, on January 16. two days after his mother was pronounced clinically dead after suffering a stroke. Susan Hickmott was kept on a life-support machine while Michael was bom by caesarian section. The life support machine was switched off the next day.
