‘Meaningless waffle’
PA Wellington Labour's new leaders would have to rise above the “meaningless waffle” they had expressed during the last few days if they expected to receive any Social Credit support in Parliament this year, said Social Credit's leader, Mr Beetham yesterday. He said that in recent days he had listened to many words that meant nothing or
could be interpreted to mean just about anything. The Labour leadership would have to show it could talk financial and economic sense. "Apparently Mr Lange has not the foggiest idea of the relationship that must always exist between a social vision that one wants to achieve and the means by which it can be reached," Mr Beetham said.
