Wenron Girl has litter
The former top bitch, Wenron Girl, gave a Caesarean birth to a litter of nine pups (4 dogs and 5 bitches) at the week-end.
Raced by Ron and WendyWilson of Ladbrooks, Wenron Girl was a consistent and very successful performer before being retired last October, and several of the pups, by the Wilson's own stud dog, Smooth Bolt, were pre-sold.
Wenron Girt’s most notable Christchurch triumph was in last April’s Ladies’ Bracelet, when she became the first greyhound to officially break 34 seconds for 560 m at Queen Elizabeth II Park, accounting for talented types such as She’s A Friendly, Little Upstart and Humbug Girl in 33.985. Successful on 16 occasions, the daughter of Magic Typhoon and Oui Met also notched up an Otago championship win and was the best of Macluke's rivals in last years South Island championship' final in Christchurch.
