Local board
PA Wellington The Prudential Assurance Company has established what it calls a "local board” to direct the company’s activities in New Zealand and Australia, the company announced yesterday. The Wellington businessman, Mr R. C. Macdonald was named as a New Zealand member of the "local board." The chairman will be Sir William Pettingell, the chairman of Australian Consolidated Industries, Ltd. Prudential’s New Zealand manager, Mr B. R. Martin, said that the appointment of a local board gave the New Zealand business a large degree of autonomy.
