Delore wins
PA Oamaru Terry Delore (Christchurch) won the open section of the South Island regional gliding championships which ended at Omarama on Saturday.
He notched up an aggregate 5198 points in his Nimbus, well ahead of Bill Walker (Invercargill) in his Astor, 4556 points, and Steve Moore (Christchurch) in a Nimbus 4251..
Gavin Wills (Mt Cook) won the standard championship, scoring 4561 points.
