World doubles titles
NZPA London The defending champions Balazs Taroczy, of Hungary, and Heinz Gunthardt,' of Switzerland meet the former holders, Brian Gottfried, of the United States and the Mexican Raul Ramirez, in today’s final of the W.C.T. world doubles championship at the Royal Albert Hall. Goffried and Ramirez,
winners in 1975 and 1980. took two hours 34 minutes to beat Australia’s Wimbledon champions, Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee, 7-6, 7-5, 7-2 in their semi-final yesterday. Gunthardt and Taroczy battered the Czechoslovakian Davis Cup pair of Pavel Slozil and Tomas Smid, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, in a one-sided 88 minute match.
