Prince has rough crossing
PA Invercargill Prince Edward stepped from a rough crossing of Foveaux Strait into the driver’s seat of a late-model car and sped out of Invercargill yesterday. His destination, like the rest of his Southland holiday, remained a secret., The Prince arrived at Bluff aboard the Navy patrol vessel Hawea which picked him up at Milford Sound earlier • this week after he had walked the Milford Track.
Thursday was spent touring part of Stewart Island and visiting the holiday home of an Invercargill couple.
Prince Edward arrived at Bluff soon after 3 p.m. yesterday, apparently unaffected by the rough crossing.
