Visit plans dropped
The British Prime Minister, Mrs Margaret Thatcher, has dropped plans to visit the Falkland Islands after being persuaded that the trip would be dangerous and diplomatically inopportune, the “Observer” says. The trip had not . been officially announced, but since late last year Whitehall sources have been saying she wanted to go to the islands for the 150th anniversary of the Royal Navy's expulsion of Argentina from the archipelago.— London.
