Unmanned dinghy’s long voyage
An unmanned I.Bm rubber dinghy has been recovered at Rakaia Huts after a voyage of about 400 km. Senior-Sergeant W. J. Porter, of the Ashburton police, said yesterday that the dinghy had been found at the huts near the rivermouth on
October 27. It had been reported missing from Horseshoe Bay, Stewart Island. Its owner was not sure exactly when it went adrift, but thought it was during late August or early September.
