Jewellery exhibition

Thc work of two Christchurch jewellers forms part of a Christmas exhibition now on at the Peepers Gallery. Silver and gold jewellery will be displayed by John Fraser and Steve Lockie. Fraser is a manufacturing jeweller who mixes precious stones with silver. He specialises in individual handcrafted items in a fluid contemporary style. While working in Australia he created a $96,000 diamond and gold ring.

Lockie is a goldsmith who designs pieces to complement the lines of the wearer's body. He specialises in exclusive on-off items. Lockie has been working in the craft for seven years, including a time based in Surfers Paradise. The joint exhibition, which runs until Friday, also includes the work of the wellknown painter, Robert Brett.
