New sections set up
Parliamentary reporter New sections have been set up in the Social Welfare Department to handle maintenance collection, payments made under the liable parents contribution scheme, and the repayment of benefits paid out in error, the Minister of Social Welfare, Mr Young, has told Parliament. Replying to a question bv Mr D. L. Kidd, Mr Young said that new the section would have a total income of $4O million. The rate of recovery under the liable parent contribution scheme was > improving month by month, he said in response’ to another question.
