Scott Base visit for Prince
Radio communication with Australia is still cut by sunspot activity, and it is uncertain when Prince Edward will return from Scott Base. The Prince left Christchurch for Antarctica on December 8 to visit historic sites and scientific projects. His stay at the base was expected to be five days. However, the information officer for the Antarctic Division of the D.5.1.R..- Mr K. O. Clegg, said yesterday that radio communication was still out. During his stay on the Ice. Prince Edward will fly within sight of a glacier nemed after him. on his way to the South Pole. Mr Clegg said a series of glaciers had been named after members of the Royal Family, including each of the Roval children.
