U.S. leads speedway
NZPA Sydney The United States had a handy lead after the first two. rounds of the world speedway pairs championship final at Liverpool Raceway in Sydney on Saturdaynight. Riding in superb team style, the American team of Bobby Schwartz and Ennis Sigalos scored the maximum
10 points after beating Czechoslovakia in heat three and Denmark in heat seven. Finland was second on nine points. Denmark third with six and the New Zealand pair of Mitch Shirra and Larry Ross fourth with five points. Australia and England followed with four points while Czechoslovakia had two points.
