Lawson gains top seeding
Vernon Aubrey, a member, ofthe Canterbury Wilding Shield squad, has been ranked' below' Gary Lawson in the boys' open singles al the provincial second-, ary schools' tennis championships. The tournament, to be held at Wilding Park from December 13 to 16. has attracted strong entries.. Lawson and Aubrey, both from Christchurch Boys' High School, are prominent players in the senior inter-dub competition, and the four seeded girls in the open singles are.also all seniors., with Lorelei Mason (St Margaret's College) as No 1.
