Raids on two shops
A . stolen Morris 1100 car was reversed through the front window of Richmond Electrical, Ltd, at 327 Stanmore Road, in a smash-and-grab-raid about 4.10 a.m. yesterday. ' Bolt-cutters were used to cut padlocked chain holding a Pye portable colour television set and a combination clock-radio-television, radiocassette unit, worth a total of $l5OO. In a second smash-and-grab early yesterday, several gold rings were stolen from the Village Jewellers. Ltd, in Papanui Road. Merivale.
