Oath dropped
Israel is dropping its controversial demand that foreign teachers in West Bank universities sign a pledge not to support the Palestine Liberation Organisation. In future the teachers will be treated like all foreigners applying for permits to work in the Israeli-held West Bank and Gaza Strip, said officials in the occupation administration.—Tel Aviv.
