Brilliant middle-distance galloper which performed with credit at the Australian spring carnival. Resuming but sure to be in great order and must go close to winning. GERALDINE TUSSLE (Race 1), b m. 6 yrs. by Tuft—Kimmer: trained at Haiswell by C. H. G. Irvine.
Has run up four consecutive second placings this season, the latest behind Studious at • Kaikoura on November 1. Overdue for a win.
GREYMOUTH TREACLE (Race 5), ch f. 3 yrs. by Trelay—Palley: trained ai Riccarton by P. H. Jones. Has her distance limitations, but ‘ a nippy front runner expected to give the others a hard chase at 1100 m tomorrow.
WELLINGTON JUST KATHRYN (Race 2), ch. 2yrs. by So Vain—Bogia; trained at Foxton by A. H. and C. P. Porter. Impressive first-up winner and placed in two races since against strong opposition. Speedy, and from a handy draw, must be the one to beat.
WYNDHAM RAPID BOY (race 10), b g. 4 yrs. by Armbro Del—Quick Feet: trained at Makarewa by H. A. Thomas. Promising half-brother to Take Care and Rapid Man which has won two of his three starts to date. Should be too good from an ace draw tomorrow.
