Skellerup issue
Skellerup Industries. Ltd, is seeking $5 million through a debenture issue on the market. The prospectus shows that rates range from 17.5 per cent for 2 years to 18 per cent for 3, 5 and 7 years, with interest payable quarterly. Asset backing is $419 per $lOO of debentures. The organising brokers are Hamil-
ton, Hindin, Greene and Company. The chairman, Mr P. J. Skellerup, says that unaudited management accounts for the first half of the financial year indicate that both sales and profit are ahead of last year. The next six months is expected to show a marked improvement as the com-
pany’s wholesale and retail divisions move into the busier period. He says that the group faces increased demand for working capital to support growth and additional funds for its intensive capital investment programmes.
