The Christchurch rider, Tony Cameron, won the vital sixth and final round of the South Island trials championships to take the title for 1982. . .. XX ' A good performance was required at the last round, held near Blenheim, because a local rider, Keith Henson, and Tim . Gibbs, of Nelson, had nearly as many points.
Cameron started the twoday event badly. On the first day, he was fifth on points at
lunch but he .finished that day with aslenderlead.
