Chch wrestler selected
A Christchurch youth, David Mangnall from the Crichton Cobbers Club, has been selected in a New Zealand junior wrestling team to visit the United States in ,March next year. The team was chosen after trials in New Plymouth last week-end and Mangnall was selected in the 52kg division. He has won a Canterbury title this year, a national inter-collegiate title, and at the New Zealand junior
championships was second behind the Commonwealth Games silver medallist. Steven Reinsfield. Twelve wrestlers were chosen in the group which will make the cultural exchange visit to California. Six of them are from the South Island. Six of the team, including Mangnall will also compete in the world elite championships in Joliet, Colorado, at the end of the exchange visit.
