Promotion success
PA Wellington A "discover New Zealand and the friendly South Pacific" travel promotion in North America had been the most successful yet, the Minister of Tourism, Mr Talbot, has said. He said it had played to "packed houses" in the 22 United States and Canadian
cities' it had been shown, including about 2000 people in Denver, and had had wide television, radio, and newspaper coverage. “Promotions of this type are potentially extremely valuable to New Zealand,” Mr Talbot said. "Thousands have been to the shows but many more — probably millions of Americans and Canadians — will have heard about New Zealand through the associated publicity."
