Tai Tapu leads
Tai Tapu scored maximum performance points against Springston and increased its lead on a rain-affected first day of play in the Ellesmere cricket competition. A good display by both the Tai Tapu batsmen and bowlers gave their team the edge in the second round match. Last season's champion team, Lincoln, plundered the Dunsandef bowling to score 283 for four declared. An opener, Theo Barclay, was just 10 runs short of his century at the declaration. Scores were:—
