Laboratory supervision and/ or tutorial work undertaken will be paid for at the appropriate hourly rate ($5.27 or $6.59 per hour; e.g. for six hours demonstrating per week at $6.59 the total emolument will be $lO2B plus $2OlO, totals $3038). DUTIES: Approximately two half-days laboratory work per week, and/ or some tutorial work, with an upper limit of 312 hours. Successful applicants will be expected to enrol for the Ph.D. degree. It is possible for this degree to be completed within a period of'three years. TENURE: Up to three years, renewable annually. ' DUTIES: • Tutorials during the 26 weeks of the teaching year. EMOLUMENT: A basic bursary component of $2OlO per annum will be paid together with remission of University tuition fees. Tutorial work undertaken will be paid at the appropriate rate according to the hours actually worked. For example, one tutorial a week for 26 weeks at $6.59 per hour (multiplied by three to allow for preparation and marking) will provide an additional sum of $514, two tutorials an additional sum of $lO2B, and so forth. TENURE: (1) Up to three years for Ph.D. and M.Litt. candidates, renewable annually. (li) Up to two years for MA candidates, renewable annually. • (ill) One year for graduates not enrolling for research degrees but qualified to contribute to teaching and/or research.
