Drainage tenders accepted
Five tenders have been accepted by the Christchurch Drainage Board for drainage and stormwater contracts. In each case the lowest tender was accepted. J. C. Haworth and Sons, Ltd, received the contract for piping Walls Drain between Locksley Avenue and Fleete Street. There were five tenders. The contract for laying stormwater piping in Pacific Road went to Mauger’s Contracting, Ltd, one of nine tenders., ' Stormwater piping in Kahu Road, through Christchurch Boys' High School, will be laid by John Hallissey. There were five tenders. Greenhalgh Contractors, Ltd, has received two contracts. One is for a stormwater outfall in Wainoni Road, for which there were six tenders, and the other for sewers and stormwater drains in properties off Keighleys Road and Bromley Road, for which there were five tenders.
