Man robbed in park
A man,, aged 29, was robbed of $5 after being pulled from his bicycle in Hagley Park late on Sunday evening. Detective Senior-Sergeant A. B. Dalzell said the man was cycling from Carlton Mill Road corner to the
Armagh Street gates about 10 p.m.. He was chased by three or four people who had been hanging about some sheltersheds. After the man was pulled from his cycle, he was punched in the face and made to hand over the money. The assailants then let down the cycle’s tyres and ran off, said SeniorSergeant Dalzell.
