The two-day senior cricket match between Ashburton and Christchurch Suburban, which was scheduled to begin at the Ashburton Oval at 11 a.m. on Sunday, had to be abandoned. Rain also thwarted yesterday’s attempts to play the annual fixture as a limitedover match.
