Overseas trip to aid inquiry
Parliamentary, reporter Three' members of the Commission of Inquiry into the . Lyttelton-Wo’olston L.P.G. pipeline will go overseas to help clarify matters of dispute between parties appearing before the commission.
The commission's chairman. Judge Skelton, the engineering expert of the commission. Mr T. W. Smallfield, and counsel assisting the inquiry, Mr R. J. Somerville, will visit Canada, the United States. Britain. Europe. Hong Kong, and Australia. The Minister of Justice. Mr McLay. and the Minister of Energy. Mr Birch, said that the information gathered would have bearing on all other planned L.P.G. projects. The commission would present a comprehensive report covering all matters of public concern, they said.
