Harihari fatality
Greymouth reporter A girl died when the utility vehicle she was driving hit a bridge guardrail on the Wanganui Flat Road near Harihari at 12.30 a.m. on Saturday. She was Joanne Marie Simpson, aged 18, a cook, of Main Road, Harihari.
A passenger. Mr Christopher Talbot, aged 21, of Robertson Road. Harihari, was admitted to the Grey Hospital but was later discharged. Fire brigade emergenev services had to cut Miss Simpson's body from the vehicle
