Lectures on hypothermia
PA Auckland A Canadian, Dr John Hayward, will give a series of lectures on hypothermia in New Zealand this month and early next month. Dr Hayward, professor of biology at the University of British Columbia, has studiedaccidental hypothermia, its prevention and first-aid treatment, and developed a special “survival suit,” a windbreaker that is part wetsuit. He will visit New Zealand at the invitation of the Water Safety Council and the Mountain Safety Council.
