Big China robbery
NZPA Peking Two men have been arrested in China’s biggest cash robbery since the 1949 Communist take-over, the theft of 95,000 yuan ($67,000) from a Hangzhou bank vault, a Shanghai newspaper reports. The police had recovered 90,500 yuan from their homes and still were searching for the rest, the “Liberation Daily" said. The newspaper’s Sunday edition said that a shoe-print at the bank branch had provided the clue that finally led to the arrest of two men six months after the robbery on March 18 in the east China city.
