Archaeologists have discovered the ancient theatre where Alexander the Great's father was assassinated in 336 8.C., at Verghina; 80km west of Salonika. The theatre is in very good condition, Professor Manolis Andronikos, head of the team which made the discovery, said. It is at least 20 metres in diameter and will take two or three years to uncover completely.
