Naming of Canty team delayed
Because of injuries, the Canterbury rugby selector. Alex Wyllie, is delaying until tomorrow the naming of a team for the national championship match against Bay of Plenty at Lancaster Park on Sunday. ' Dale Atkins, Garry Hooper and John Ashworth are players who are getting over injuries. The Canterbury B team to play Nelson Bays at Motueka
on Sunday has been named and it is:— Andrew McMaster; Brent Winks. Steve Hansen (captain). lan Mather, Phil Gibson. Wayne Burleigh; Steve Baker; Peter McLaren; Murray Straight. Mike Fransen. Pat O’Gorman. Na Katae; Ru Koha, Mick Powley. Gordon Smith. Reserves: Phil Thomas. David Farrant. John Wright. Barry White.
