Bond sales higher

PA Wellington Inflation-proof bond sales were up again last week, after a slump' in the last week of August. Sales totalling $6,900,000 were received by the Reserve Bank last week, compared with $3,300,000 the week before. These figures are still well down on sales earlier this year of more than $4 million a day, at one stage. Premium stock sales last week were lower than the $1 million to $2 million average of recent weeks, at $BOO,OOO.
