Fairbairn Wright Division sold
PA Dunedin The South Island pharmaceutical wholesale activities of Fairbairn Wright, Ltd, including warehouses in Dunedin and Christchurch, have been sold to H. F. Stevens, Ltd.) of Dunedin. H. F. Stevens is a pharmaceutical wholesale, manufacturing, and packing company with outlets throughout New Zealand. Redundancy agreements have been reached with nine members of the
storemen's and warehousemen’s union in the two centres. A spokesman for H. F. Stevens said that long-serv-ing Fairbairn staff members had been offered jobs with the company. Fairbairn Wright is part of the Ballin Rattray grocery and liquor wholesale group, and the national Fairbairn Wright manager, Mr J. W. Futter, said that he hoped none of the workers would be left unemployed.
