Emco well ahead
PA Wellington EMCO Group results for the first four months of the year were substantially ahead of last year, the chairman, Mr L. M. Papps, said yesterday.-< In a statement, Mr Papps said that he would be telling Friday’s annual general meeting in Auckland that sales and trading profits
after tax were both substantially ahead of last year — “even before taking account of any profit arising from the acquisition of 51 per cent of Healing’s shares." He added: “Trading conditions during the rest of the current year may harden, but the EMCO Group is well placed to achieve a significantly increased profit for the full year?'
