Tight credit predicted
PA Wellington Money and credit were likely to become increasingly , tight in the next few months.
said the Governor of the Reserve Bank, Mr D. L. Wilks, in a statement. This would be mainly because of the widening overseas deficit and a budget deficit that has been constrained to a level only marginally higher than last year’s. Some financial institutions and some sectors of the economy could find the next few months quite difficult, he said.
