Big day for Halls
A big, broad-shouldered, grey-haired man strode into Wellington yesterday, intent on taking in happenings at Athletic Park this afternoon. He was Duncan Hall, senior, one of the legendary players of Australian rugby league, and he was unashamedly wallowing in the atmosphere surrounding the rival 15-a-side code. But Duncan Hall has a special reason for letting his hair down this afternoon. His oldest son, Duncan junior, will be playing for Australia in the rugby test match against the All Blacks, and his second son, Lindsay, will be captaining the Australian under-19 team in the curtainraiser.
