Nuclear weapons
Sir, — I would like to inform you that we, the pupils and staff of Villa Maria College, have declared our school and grounds a nuclear weapon free zone. We do this because we are aware of both the immediate and future effects of nuclear weapons on our environment. The girls inEcology Action organised an educational programme of films, speakers, posters and general information. After this programme we presented the pupils and staff with a petition. Two-thirds oh the members of our school signed this. We believe this shows our agreement with this policy.—Yours, etc.,
J. ROELINK. Ecology Action Group Member. August 13, 1982.
