Price freeze

Sir,—With each new imposition the public gives a resigned grumble and philosophic growl of unwilling acceptance of the inevitable. However. this mythical price freeze recently announced appears to be little else but arrant humbug and there have been seemingly far more increases since than for quite a while before. If we must have increases, well, so be it, but for such rises to follow so immediately on the freeze declaration is surely rather ridiculous.—Yours, etc., G. WILLIS. August 19, 1982.
